Making a Difference, One Match at a Time
The Big Sisters mentoring program matches Lower Mainland girls, non-binary, transgender and gender-diverse youth (ages 7-17) with a volunteer Big Sister in a one-to-one mentoring relationship.
For a minimum of 1 year, each Big and Little match meets once a week for 2-4 hours. Matches enjoy doing a wide variety of free and low-cost activities together including crafts, sports, movies and just hanging out and talking!
Our volunteers are age 19 or older and provide us with a criminal record check and references. They’re trained in child safety and screened and monitored by our professional staff throughout their involvement with the program.
Study Buddy Mentorship Program
Our Study Buddy Program provides 1:1 mentoring with an academic focus for youth between the ages of 7 – 17
Big Sisters Mentorship Program
Our Big Sisters program provides supportive 1:1 mentoring relationships for youth between the ages of 7 – 17
Go Girls Mentorship Program
Our Go Girls! Group Program promotes active lifestyles, balanced eating, and builds self-esteem for youth between grades 4 – 7
