For 65 years, Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland has transformed lives by connecting girls and gender-diverse youth with inspiring mentors. Now, we’re taking it even further. This isn’t just a plan—it’s a movement.

Why Mentorship Matters More Than Ever

Today’s youth face more pressures than ever, from social media to school and self-discovery. Mentorship can be the difference between struggling in silence and finding their voice.

With the right support, young people build confidence, strengthen their mental health, and unlock their full potential. That’s why we’re committed to making mentorship more accessible, inclusive, and impactful.

Programs That Change Lives

At Big Sisters, we offer free, high-impact mentorship programs tailored to the diverse needs of youth aged 7-17, including:

  • Big Sisters: One-to-one mentorship fostering emotional well-being.
  • Study Buddy: Academic mentorship to support school success.
  • Go Girls!: Group mentoring to promote self-esteem, confidence, and healthy living.
  • My Voice, My Power!: Skills-based mentoring for youth empowerment.

By focusing on connection, inclusivity and accessibility, we ensure self-identifying girls and gender-diverse youth feel seen, supported, and empowered.
