Hannah Nguyen

You are a passionate and experienced leader in the community services sector, with a commitment to providing inclusive and impactful experiences for children and youth. You have experience working alongside child welfare agencies and community service partners; navigating complex situations with compassion and a trauma informed lens. You are skilled in coaching and leading a team to connect, collaborate and co-create internal systems that drive thoughtful, efficient service delivery pathways with an end goal to provide high-quality support and programming for children and youth.

You are a strategic, relationship-driven leader passionate about creating post-secondary opportunities for girls and gender-diverse youth. You build strong donor and funder partnerships, translate relationships into program impact, and balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day program delivery. You are comfortable leading through change, supporting your team with clarity and empathy, and managing stakeholders through a program transformation. Above all, you are mission-driven partnerships building the partnerships, programs, and team that help youth achieve their post-secondary goals.

You are a compassionate and organized individual who values accuracy and timely follow-through in program delivery. You take pride in supporting youth and volunteers with care and attention to detail. Building strong connections with students, mentors, and community partners energizes you. You’re a collaborative team player who is passionate about empowering young people and advancing the mission of Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland.

You are an energetic, responsible, and positive person with a strong commitment to our mission. You are passionate about mentoring girls, non-binary youth, and transgender youth who are looking for support from an additional caring and trusted adult in their lives. You take pride in building strong client relationships and supporting each match so they can work towards helping the Mentee achieve their goals and boost their self-esteem. You have strong case management skills and understand the importance of ensuring safe and healthy mentoring relationships between volunteer mentors and our Mentees (ages 7-17).
