2012 Gala - Thursday, October 4, 2012 - Save the Date!

October 6, 2011 marked an historic night for the 22nd annual Big Sisters Gala – a record $340,000 was raised, more than doubling our previous Gala total of $122,500! 325 guests were inspired by Little Sister Shupri and her mom Cat, who shared Shupri's story of bullying and how Big Sisters has helped Shupri believe in herself again (read Shupri & Cat's speeches).  The sold out crowd also had the opportunity to meet matches Leah & Sara, Meghan & Tianna, and Michelle & Darci, who shared one special thing that mentoring has started in their lives (read their "start something" testimonials). 

Hosted by Steve Darling and Arran Henn, the night also featured a champagne reception, exciting live & silent auction, a lively sponsor-a-match segment hosted by Fred Lee that raised over $108,000, and an exclusive Tiffany & Co. Raffle.

A huge thank you to Gala Chair, Susan Mendelson, for her vision and leadership and to Andrée Lalonde and her entire Gala team, and everyone who attended, sponsored or donated to this event.  Thanks to you, 170 girls on our waitlist will be matched with a positive role model!
