Heather Holden likes to consider life an ongoing exploration and adventure. She's a Wealth Advisor with ScotiaMcLeod, but has a varied background with a commercial pilot's license and a PhD from the University of Waterloo. Heather lived in Singapore and worked as a professor at the National University of Singapore before moving to Vancouver in 2003.

Heather was a Park Board Commissioner from 2005 - 2008 and served as Chair in the first year of her term. She's also a member of the board of The Nature Trust of BC and enjoys volunteering for many great causes.

Sports have been a big part of Heather's life---she was a competitive gymnast in Ontario for years, then a varsity rower, sometimes a triathlete, always a runner. But now, she's happy with yoga an walking her little dog, Barney, with her husband, Doug. And she gets great pleasure from regularly losing Scrabble games to her Little Sister Bonnie who has a remarkably good vocabulary!
